"One of Berlin's finest boutique pensions", the Lonely Planet Guide claims, where, a "rickety birdcage lift drops you off with belle époque flourish" and where the "affable owners" have assembled "their wonderful collection of one-of-a-kind furniture and fixtures". Guestrooms "offer a unique blend of youthful flair and tradition", and "skimp neither on space nor on charisma", a couple of rooms have balconies, and all have Internet access. The author of this review recommends room no. 5, which has "a hefty armoire and heavenly bed". A "fairly recent expansion" has added a "meeting room and two suites" to the hotel, and an "honour bar is handy for feeding late-night cravings". The guide recommend to eat at the restaurant down the road, "Charlottenburg's". It is situated a 5 minutes walk along the Kurfürstendamm from the underground station.
